


Camp
- Participants range in age from 5-21 (for adolescents between the ages of 13-21, there is a counselor-in-training program)
- Staff to child ratio is 1-1 or 1-2
- Focus is on communication and appropriate socialization
- Program is supervised by licensed social worker and special education teachers
- Nurse is at camp to address any medical needs
- Music therapy
- Therapeutic Horseback riding (in Reading and Lancaster)
- Swimming on a daily basis
- Animal Therapy (dogs visit that are trained to be with people who have special needs)
- Structured day with daily thematic schedule (posted in words and pictures)
- Evening family events
- Camp session is 2 weeks (half day program beginning at 9:15 and ending at 12:00) (in Lancaster, there is also a 1 week session option for new families who are not already attending a 2 week session)
- Locations in Lancaster (held at the Lancaster JCC), Reading (held at Schuylkill Valley Elementary School), and Harrisburg (held at the Green Hills Swim Club)

*New campers are welcome to attend any session of camp they choose. Lancaster Session 3 is offered to new campers who wish to try camp for only one week instead of the usual two-week session.
