Camp

  • Participants range in age from 5-21 (for adolescents between the ages of 13-21, there is a counselor-in-training program)
  • Staff to child ratio is 1-1 or 1-2
  • Focus is on communication and appropriate socialization
  • Program is supervised by licensed social worker and special education teachers
  • Nurse is at camp to address any medical needs
  • Music therapy
  • Therapeutic Horseback riding (in Reading, Lancaster)
  • Swimming on a daily basis
  • Animal Therapy (dogs visit that are trained to deal with people who have special needs)
  • Structured day with daily thematic schedule ( posted in words and pictures)
  • Evening family events
  • Camp session is 2 weeks (half day program beginning at 9:15 and ending at 12:00) (in Lancaster, there is also a 1 week session for new families who are not already attending a 2 week session)
